About Me

About Me
The problem space I currently work in is the cross-section of Human-Computer Interaction and Data science. Specifically, my current focus is on mobile development.

This domain came to me rather naturally visiting family in Jamaica and living in low-income areas. These experiences illustrated to me how fast mobile technology is permeating around the globe and has huge potential to improve lives in a variety of ways.

Currently, I'm investigating this domain in a research group on the UW campus where we are investigating how can a mobile application intervention support mental health care in West Africa.

I enjoy working in this area because it allows me to lend a perspective that might not get heard otherwise in the field of High-Technology. So when I get up in the morning and I'm tired or unmotivated I think about the opportunities I have and the potential impact I can make in my fields and that's why I do what I do.
